exploring at the cabin…
Parker got to meet Maggie (my parents got a puppy) and they loved each other!
Parker got to spend a parents-free night with his Grandma and Grandpa Honey while Tyler and I went to our niece Kathryn’s dance recital. I left my camera so that the fun could be recorded, and it sure does look like they had a good time!
Grandpa Mike took Parker for an airplane ride last weekend. Parker was more than excited. He even got to fly the plane! I started feeling very queazy and Matilda did not help as she flipped around in my tummy… so I made us turn around. Parker talked about the plane and how he “flewed it” to everyone he saw. He was definitely very proud of himself and thankful he has such a cool grandpa!
THINGS I WILL MISS ABOUT BOZEMAN: The Parks
After the library, we headed over to a park. I love all of Bozeman’s parks. They are not simply a jungle gym on top of a square plot of grass. They are little natural worlds for everyone to enjoy. They have water features, a variety of trees, bridges, hills, and lots of play things including handi-capable swings. They are all well maintained, clean, and safe. There are so many parks in Bozeman that by the time you cycle through all of them everything is new and exciting again.
THINGS I WILL MISS ABOUT BOZEMAN: The Library
So we are officially leaving in less than a month. I have decided to start documenting the things about Bozeman I will miss the most. One thing I will miss for sure will be going to the library with Parker most Tuesdays and Thursdays. I love the Bozeman library. It is modern, fresh, and kid friendly. I have spent many, many hours there over the years studying, relaxing, and discovering. Parker and I enjoy grabbing a snack at the coffee shop after Books and Babies. We usually sit on a bench together and talk about our favorite parts of the morning’s events.
We had such a fantastic weekend! Our very good friends the Houlds came to town for a visit. We played at the dinosaur park and had a blast. Parker went on all the slides by himself, practiced balancing, dug for bones, rock climbed, and had his papa push him on the swing!
I am 22 weeks pregnant with Matilda! I do not feel very big, so when I see myself in a picture or reflection I am always shocked. We have not done any planning for Matilda or her arrival. I can’t seem to wrap my brain around it yet. First we must focus on moving, then finding a place to stay long-term. After that I can start thinking about things for Matilda… I just hope I do not run out of time.
Yay! Tyler graduated this weekend with a PhD in Ecology and Environmental Sciences!
Parker loves riding his bike around the neighborhood. He simply cannot get enough of it!
